2025 EC³ promises to be an exciting conference concerning the quality and diversity of its participants. The structure and review process adopted for 2025 EC³ is structured to promote high-quality contributions to the Construction IT and Management community. In addition, the conference offers a unique value proposition to authors and the community, including:
Best papers as keynote speeches: Authors of the highest-ranked papers will be invited to present their work as keynote talks. This will give the chosen authors the opportunity to present their work in full-attendance plenary sessions and over a more extended time slot than in standard parallel-track sessions. See the keynote speech from 2024 conference conference here.
Best papers in international journals: The best papers from the EC3 2025 conference will be invited post-conference to expand and strengthen/update their contributions for special consideration by the top-ranking Automation in Construction, an international research journal published by Elsevier.
Awards: It recognises an EC3 conference paper that contributes best to either practical or research aspects of engineering informatics disciplines in the built environment. The practical value of contribution and its impact on engineering informatics practice are important considerations.
Open Access: All accepted papers will be made available to all registered participants two weeks before the conference. They will become “open access” to the public shortly after the conference. Papers will be archived on the ITC Digital Library of Construction Informatics. See the 2024 edition open access proceedings here.
Scopus Indexed: The EC3 conference proceedings are Scopus indexed, and the conference organizing team will provide individual DOI numbers to each accepted paper. This will ensure robust citation tracking and enhanced visibility in publication and citation databases like Scopus or ISI Web of Science. Construction IT and Management conference organizers rarely seek DOI numbers, but we believe this will add significant value for paper authors.
Presentation Videos: Paper presentations will be recorded and posted on the event’s YouTube channel (with the presenter’s permission). Links will be posted to the corresponding papers. See the last 2024 EC3 conference paper presentation videos here.
